The Third Virginia Regiment

Welcome young man! Do you think you have what it takes to be one of the finest soldiers in the Continental Army? Can you be part of this new nations history? Are you ready to fight for your freedom? Just a one year commitment is required! Or, enlist for the duration of the war, and forever be memorialized in the books of history. Rations, clothing, and money are all provided for your service!

The Third Virginia Regiment is always looking for new members to join our living history organization. Men, women, and children can all join in on the fun. Men at arms are generally 18 years or older, while fifers and drummers are generally 12 - 14 years of age. Women can portray camp followers, and help with colonial coking, sewing, various demonstrations, and talking to the public among other things. As mentioned on our homepage, we are a progressive reenacting organization, meaning we strive for accuracy in everything we do. From the clothing and accouterments we wear, to the way we drill and the way we fight when in battle. Most of the clothing we wear is hand stitched or made by a colonial tailor. If you think you have what it takes to be a part of this great living history organization, then don't wait any longer!
